Platte Valley Goldens is owned by Luke and Tonia McConnell. We are small hobby breeders in Hershey, Nebraska. With the help of our four children, we enjoy raising and training quality Golden Retrievers.
Platte Valley Goldens started with our family’s first Golden, Thistle Rock’s Precious Ruby.
Since Ruby, we have added other Goldens, including Thunderstruck Platte Valley Deacon and Platte Valley’s Amazing Grace.
Our Golden Retrievers are part of our family and we couldn’t ask for better companions.
Additionally, Luke and the kids use the Goldens for waterfowl and upland game hunting along with participating in hunt test competitions.
Our puppies are well socialized and have a variety of interactions given that we live on 36-acres which includes creeks, and training grounds.
We pride ourselves on raising puppies with a variety of experiences, such as exposure to water, birds, and constant social interactions with other dogs and people, including young children.
